Cowtown Kids, happier Holidays for kids between homes.

Cowtown Kids, Inc. was incorporated in 2017 as a Texas nonprofit and received its IRS 501(c)(3) public charitable designation shortly thereafter. The entity was incorporated by the Members and Officers, Robert and Julie Camacho who hired Jacob E. Way, IV as the Executive Director who also handles fundraising. Julie is the President, CEO, and General Counsel. Robert is the Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.

This organization came about because of a conversation with other philanthropists. The Camachos realized that they could expand their ability to reach out to kids who are marginalized by their circumstances by allowing others to work with them.

Cowtown Kids, Inc. was incorporated and is run to provide less fortunate kids and their mothers with toys, school supplies, and other necessities around under-served holidays and times of great need.

Robert and Julie have served this purpose individually since 2008, by handing out over 150 bags at Halloween from the front porch of their home in Fort Worth. They also donate money and clothing to many organizations in and around Fort Worth, Texas.

The idea for this charitable nonprofit came from realizing that there are kids for whom Halloween was out of reach due to circumstances. Specifically, kids living in homeless shelters and transitional housing. The hope is that by providing gift bags with toys, candy, and Fall supplies for the shelters to give out in late October, these kids will know that they are not forgotten and that they are valuable members of God's community.. 

The plan for the organization is to expand and provide bags to kids on Valentines Day and 4th of July. As it becomes more established, we also hope to work with local nonprofits to support women in crisis pregnancy centers who lack other forms of support.
